Panna cotta

Cooking time approx. 10 minuteseasy
What you need: Dessert moulds or glasses

For the panna cotta

  • 200 ml cream
  • 300 ml milk
  • 50 g sugar
  • 4 leaves of white gelatine
  • 1-2 tsp tonka bean flavouring paste

  • Fruits of your choice, such as berries

  1. Slowly heat the milk, cream and sugar in a saucepan. Add the tonka flavouring paste and bring the mixture to the boil.
  2. The mixture should boil not too vigorously, but not too weakly either since the panna cotta will not set otherwise.
  3. Soak the gelatine leaves in cold water, then remove them and squeeze out excess water. Now remove the pan from the heat and add the gelatine to the mixture. Stir until the gelatine is completely dissolved.
  4. Tip the panna cotta mixture into dessert glasses or souffle moulds. To ensure that the panna cotta sets, leave it to chill overnight in the fridge. To serve, you can then turn it out of the glasses and top with fruit; or just keep it in the glasses if you prefer.
