Winter forest muffins

What you need: Muffin tin + muffin cases

For the dough
(makes about 12)

  • 200 g margarine
  • 250 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 2 level tsp. cinnamon
  • 100 g chopped walnuts
  • 1-2 apples, cut small 

Decorations

  • Decocino fondant; red, yellow, white, green, chocolate
  • Decocino corn starch
  • Decocino DecoChoc, white
  • Decocino glue, edible
  • Icing sugar
  • Nut-nougat cream

Preparation

Apple and nut muffins

  1. For the dough, stir together the butter, sugar and eggs until foamy. Sift the flour, add the baking powder and fold into the mixture. Fold in the cinnamon, apple (e.g. russet) and walnuts. Put the paper muffin cases in a muffin tin, spoon dough into the cases and bake at 180°C with air circulation for about 15-20 minutes (test for doneness with a skewer), leave to cool.
  2. Cut circles out of the DecoChoc, stick on the forest animals made from fondant using edible glue. Attach picture stickers onto the muffins using a little nut and nougat crème.
